Day 12, From Kingston with Love: A Day in the Life of Wendy, the Team’s Behind-the-Scenes Hero

Today’s blog is going to be a little bit special as it is written by Wendy aka the one did not make it to India. While the rest of the team started their amazing adventure in Auroville, Wendy is adventuring in Kingston. This blog will take you through a typical day of Wendy’s life.

Wendy usually started her day by checking messages from the team just to catch up what have happened while she was sleeping. After that she would jump into a team call and chat with the rest of the team, the team call is usually a highlight of her day. She also had so much fun with the Facebook video call filters and when she turned the filter on, Maeve always asked “how did you do that? Why can’t I do it?” 

Later on, she would walk to campus and start her day officially. While the team is enjoying the heat in India, it started snowing in Kingston. When she arrived she would listen to all the interview recording and help with transcription and research findings. She also put a picture of the team in her office!

Wendy is the production manager and she is responsible for making the slides and the final report. After she completed all the interview findings, she would start making edits and formatting the slides and final report. Here is a sneak peak of the final report and slides! Sometimes she feels like her brain cells are dying after making the slides and the final report. 

During her time in Kingston, she also made friends with a 14 year old orange cat named Minnie, and Minnie has been her work buddy for 4 days! As the project is coming to an end, she is excited for her trip to Mexico and to hear more about the adventures of the team in the next two weeks in India. She can’t wait until the day the Fellowship is reunited!
